THIERRY MUGLER vintage F/W98 "Lingerie Revisited" Suit

This iconic vintage suit is from Thierry Mugler’s Prêt-à-porter 1998/99 Fall/Winter collection titled “Lingerie Revisited”.

It has such an amazing history; photographed by Helmut Newton for the catalogue of the Lingerie Revisited collection taken in Monaco 1998, and more recently worn on the runway for the CR Fashion Runway x LuisaViaRoma 2019 by the stunning Joan Smalls.

This two pice vintage suit is made from wool and lined in the softest silk, it features a deep V neckline, super strong shoulders, the most incredible dramatic hourglass silhouette accentuated by large pockets at the hips. The pockets are decorated with a garter like detail - a gorgeous and subtle hint at lingerie. The high waisted skirt features a high vent on the front-left side which is so flattering when walking. This is truly a perfect and classic Thierry Mugler suit and a wonderful collectors item 🖤
