Paradises and artists’ colonies inspired Piccioli’s spring collection for Valentino and this show showed an immense appreciation for couture dress-making. The looks - both colourful and monochrome - showcased impeccably made sculptural dresses which featured ruffles, balloon skirts, lace, bows amongst other dramatic details.
This elegant off shoulder mini dress was look no.13 on the runway - It is so luxurious and beautifully made in true Valentino style. It features giant puff sleeves, a drop waist, a ruched bodice with a belt which ties in a bow (either at the front or the back) and a pleated voluminous A-line skirt. The sleeves can be worn both at the shoulders and off. This dress is a perfect example of Piccioli’s work for Valentino - romantic, modern and truly beautiful.

Founded in 1960 by Valentino Garavani, Italian luxury house Valentino is known for its sophistication, uniqueness and beauty. Pier Paolo Piccioli has been the sole creative director of the Maison since 2016 and has gained acclaimed recognition for his work at Valentino.
Piccioli studied literature in Rome and followed that with a course in experimental fashio, he dreamt of being a movie director but when he discovered fashion and its narrative power, he decided to become a designer. Piccioli is credited for the revolutionary revitalisation of Valentino and has produced some of the most sublime couture and imagery in the houses history often stunning his audiences with the bold color palette, masterful cuts and sculptural designs .
