VERSACE F/W 2001 Silk and Leather Runway Gown

Stunning silk and leather runway gown by Versace from Fall Winter 2001 <3

For F/W 2001 Donatella Versace presented an eclectic collection including graphic prints, fitted hips, corseted waistlines and mermaid skirts which have seen many red carpets since its runway debut. This stunning silk and leather piece was look number 59 on the runway.

This maxi-dress blends elegance and drama - perfect for the femme fatale. The craftsmanship is incredible, truly of the highest quality; it is made from a beautiful stretch silk and cut to perfection. The fitted bodice features the most flattering draped neckline, the shoulders are crafted out of a soft brown leather, the back of the dress is open and extremely flattering. This dress hugs at the waist, accentuated with the accompanying leather belt and falls into a dramatic sheer mermaid full maxi skirt which has the most beautiful movement. The belt can be worn in various ways, with the buckle to the front, side or to the back.

This dress was worn by Kylie Minogue at the GQ awards in 2001 and a very similar dress from the same collection was worn by Bella Hadid at Cannes in 2022.

This vintage Versace silk gown is marked size IT42, please refer to the measurements below:

(This dress was measured flat and across un-stretched, please note that this dress does have a lot of stretch so please contact us if you require further measurements.)

This vintage Versace gown is in great condition, the only thing to note is one minor slit on the leather of the belt, see attached photo. This is not noticeable when worn.
