THIERRY MUGLER Vintage Classic Brown Suit FR40

Gorgeous vintage Thierry Mugler suit made from the most beautiful wool fabric. The colour of the suit is brown with a slight tint of red woven through. It has a beautiful warm tone.

This elegant suit features the iconic Thierry Mugler hourglass silhouette, shoulder pads, a three snap button closure and faux pockets with a dramatic detail.

It has such a beautiful shape and is a perfect classic wardrobe staple, the jacket can be easily styled with jeans or tailored trousers. It is in great condition. The original spare buttons are also included.

Thierry Mugler was a french fashion designer, creative director and photographer. Known for his avant-garde, sculpture-like designs with dramatic hyper-feminine hour-glass silhouettes. His often scandalous designs drew from a wide range of influences including science fiction, film noir and the aquatic world - to name a few. Muglers’ haute couture and ready to wear shows were revolutionary theatrical productions and he pioneered diversity in casting by including a wide range of ages, body types, ethnicities and gender identities on the runway.

Thierry Mugler launched his first collection titled “Cafe de Paris” in 1973 and by 1978 he opened his first boutique in the 1st Arrondissement in Paris. Through the 1980s and 1990s Thierry Mugler gained international recognition with his exaggerated tailored suits and dresses with ultra-feminine silhouettes. His designs recall 1940s femme fatale and 1950s glamour with broad shoulders, cinched waists and tight pencil skirts which continue to empower and inspire women to this day.
