Incredible ivory and black tuxedo dress by Yves Saint Laurent - designed by Stefano Pilati.
This tuxedo dress was one of the most iconic looks from Pilati’s Autumn/Winter 2007 collection for Yves Saint Laurent. It was look 38 on the runway and seen on many celebrities. This version has beautiful wider silk satin lapels.
This gorgeous “Le Smoking” is made from a beautiful silk wool mix featuring wide crisp silk satin lapel - so luxurious. The construction of this tuxedo dress is incredible, it is exquisitely tailored and is certainly of the highest quality. It features a crisp shawl collar with a deep V neckline in contrasting black silk satin, a four button closure and it features the iconic YSL logo on the lining of the left side of the jacket opening. Both modern and timeless, this YSL tuxedo dress is also very versatile - it can be worn as a jacket or a dress :) Looks so perfect paired with classic black heels.

Yves Saint Laurent introduced his most iconic look in Autumn/Winter 1966 - Le Smoking.
Originally only reserved for men, Yves Saint Laurent took the codes of the tuxedo but adapted it to the female silhouette and included tuxedos in every of his collections until 2002. Each creative director since has found endless inspiration in this revolutionary house code.
Stefano Pilati was hired by Tom Ford for Yves Saint Laurent as a design director and he made his debut as head of ready to wear for Yves Saint Laurent in 2005. His style for Yves Saint Laurent was decidedly more french and Pilati created many trademark items for Yves Saint Laurent - most notably the wardrobe staple tulip skirt and the best seller YSL muse bag. This 2007 collection was one of his most celebrated with many of the looks appearing in editorials and on the red carpet.
