From Thierry Mugler’s Spring/Summer 1999 collection. This floor-length black evening gown reflects Thierry Mugler’s approach to tailoring in the late 1990s, combining sharp construction and a controlled line.

The neckline is framed by sheer silk organza ruffles with a flower detail. The translucent layers contrast with the matte black crepe, introducing a softer element to the otherwise minimal silhouette.

Panel construction shapes the waist and torso, creating Mugler’s unmistakable silhouette. A high front vent on the left side adds movement to the long, streamlined skirt.

A sculptural evening piece, where the architectural line of the gown is offset by the light organza ruffle detail.

From Alexander McQueen’s Fall/Winter 1998 collection for Givenchy, a season inspired by Bladerunner’s dystopian glamour. This blazer was featured on the runway in a teal blue.

Sharply tailored, with an elongated silhouette, this exceptional blazer is constructed from a pleated fabric. The diagonal pleating creates movement across the body while reinforcing the structured line of the shoulders and waist. A single statement button anchors the front, keeping the focus on the sharp modern silhouette.

This ensemble was also featured in a Neiman Marcus campaign for Harper's Bazaar, September 1998 on actress Estella Warren.

The jacket is made from black wool. It features a squared notched lapel, V- neckline and lightly padded shoulders. A dramatic hourglass silhouette emphasised by lines of rhinestone embellishments in the shape of corset seam-lines. The rhinestones are also featured on the cuff of each sleeve.

Completed by a chiffon skirt and shorts set. A lighter variation of the runway look which was presented in a more structured fabric. The chiffon is a clear continuation of Thierry Mugler’s “Lingerie Revisited” theme, balancing structure with sensuality.

A very special collectors item. Both wearable and an investment piece that will continue to increase in value.

This Thierry Mugler blazer is in very good vintage condition with some wear to the zipper, and some light discolouration to the lining. The skirt and shorts are in excellent condition.
