From Thierry Mugler’s Spring/Summer 1999 collection. This floor-length black evening gown reflects Thierry Mugler’s approach to tailoring in the late 1990s, combining sharp construction and a controlled line.

The neckline is framed by sheer silk organza ruffles with a flower detail. The translucent layers contrast with the matte black crepe, introducing a softer element to the otherwise minimal silhouette.

From Thierry Mugler’s Spring/Summer 1997 Couture collection, titled Les Insectes. Inspired by insect anatomy and Kafka’sMetamorphosis, the collection explored themes of transformation. This piece is a runway variation.

This tailored suit reflects that language through subtle yet deliberate references. The sharply sculpted black jacket is tailored to emphasise the waist, flaring slightly at the hip, exaggerated by defined hip fins to create Mugler’s signature hourglass silhouette.

The ivory lapel features a honeycomb-textured finish, a nod to the insect world that shaped the season. At the front, a sculptural fly embellishment functions as both closure and ornament. The ivory honeycomb texture extends to the cuffs, reinforcing the framing of the jacket
