WHY WE LOVE IT
John Galliano’s work at Dior in the 2000s marked a significant evolution in the house’s direction. After reshaping Dior’s couture with his theatrical vision, Galliano brought his focus to tailoring throughout his ready to wear collections. Inspired by historical references, he explored structured silhouettes, wasp waists and modern interpretations of the classic Dior silhouette.
This grey glen-check suit is from Dior’s Fall Winter 2007 collection. The jacket is cut into a clean hourglass shape with strong shoulders, a sculpted waist and a lightly padded flare through the hip. The matching skirt features a front vent that reveals a satin and lace slip underneath. The buttons on the jacket and skirt are engraved with D - I - O - R.
This hourglass suit is an incredible example of his John Galliano’s tailoring for Dior.

This Dior by John Galliano suit is a vintage designer piece in very good condition with some light wear. Please note a small light stain on the back of the skirt close to the waist, this is not visible when the suit is worn. Also please note one minor marking on the jacket front, and one very minor flaw close to skirt waistband at the back - please see last two photos for reference.
